RF & Microwave Components

Centric RF, LLC supplies and distributes RF and microwave components for commercial, industrial, and telecommunications applications. Each category below explains what the components do and what information helps us review a request.

Illustrations on this site show generic component types. They are not photographs of specific products and do not represent inventory. Specifications, pricing, and availability are provided in response to your request.

01 / COAXIAL ADAPTERS
Illustration

Coaxial Adapters

RF interconnection components used in applicable coaxial systems and equipment.

A coaxial adapter joins two coaxial connectors that would not otherwise mate, for example when two cables, an equipment port, or a test accessory use different connector types or genders. Adapters allow existing cables and equipment to work together without replacing either one.

Because an adapter adds another interface to the signal path, the right choice depends on the connector types involved and on the requirements of the system it will be used in.

Details that help us review a request

  • Connector type and gender on each side
  • Whether it is for a cable, an equipment port, or a test setup
  • System requirements the adapter must support
  • Quantity needed

02 / RF ATTENUATORS

RF Attenuators

Components used for managing signal levels in applicable RF systems.

An RF attenuator reduces the power of a signal by a set amount while aiming to preserve the character of the signal. Attenuators are used to lower signal levels ahead of sensitive inputs, to adjust levels between stages of a system, and to help improve the match between connected devices.

Selecting an attenuator involves the amount of attenuation needed, the signal power it must handle, the frequency range of the system, and the connector types at each port.

Details that help us review a request

  • Required attenuation level
  • Signal power the component must handle
  • Frequency range of the system
  • Connector types and gender

03 / POWER DIVIDERS

Power Dividers

Components used to distribute RF signals across multiple paths.

A power divider takes one RF input and splits it across multiple outputs, so a single source can feed several loads or receive paths. Depending on the design, a divider can also be used in reverse to combine signals.

Dividers are specified by how many output paths are needed, the frequency range of the system, the signal power involved, and the connectors on each port.

Details that help us review a request

  • Number of output paths
  • Frequency range of the system
  • Signal power involved
  • Connector types on each port

04 / RF COUPLERS

RF Couplers

Components used for applicable signal coupling and sampling applications.

An RF coupler passes the main signal along its primary path while sampling a portion of it to a separate port. The sampled signal can be used for monitoring, measurement, or feedback without interrupting the main signal path.

Directional couplers can also tell forward signals from reflected signals, which is useful when checking how a system is behaving.

Details that help us review a request

  • Required coupling level
  • Frequency range of the system
  • Signal power on the main path
  • Whether direction sensing is needed
  • Connector types on each port

05 / RF TERMINATIONS

RF Terminations

Components used in applicable RF signal paths and equipment connections.

An RF termination, sometimes called a load, absorbs signal energy at the end of a transmission path or on an unused port. Terminating a port correctly helps prevent unwanted reflections that could affect measurements or equipment behavior.

Terminations are commonly used on spare ports of dividers and couplers, and at the end of lines during testing and equipment setup.

Details that help us review a request

  • Connector type and gender
  • Power the termination must absorb
  • Frequency range of the system
  • Where it will be used in the signal path
